GoDaddy Website Builder to WordPress, without copy-paste

The standard advice for leaving GoDaddy's builder is to copy every page and post by hand and save each image. It takes hours, sometimes a day.

Decamp reads your published GoDaddy site, including the full text of each blog post, and writes a WordPress export file that WordPress's own importer understands, with images and categories.

Free inventory and 3-post preview. One payment per site when you download.

1. Export with Decamp

Paste your address and paste the short verification code into any text block on your GoDaddy homepage, then publish.

Check the free preview, pay once and pick “WordPress”.

2. Import into WordPress

Tools → Import → WordPress → Run Importer, upload wordpress/wordpress-import.xml and tick “Download and import file attachments”. WordPress copies every image into your media library.

3. Domain and redirects

Keep your domain at GoDaddy and point its DNS at your WordPress host. Install the Redirection plugin and import redirects/wordpress-redirection-plugin.csv so /f/post-slug links keep working.

Redirect files included: Redirection plugin CSV · .htaccess · Nginx. Old links and Google results keep working.

Questions

Is my GoDaddy online store included?
No, products are counted but not exported. GoDaddy's commerce dashboard can export products as CSV.
