Why the Wix RSS feed won't move your blog

Most “export Wix to WordPress” tutorials send you to yoursite.com/blog-feed.xml and the WordPress RSS importer. Then you notice only 20 posts arrived, often as titles and short excerpts.

That's the feed working as Wix designed it. It's for feed readers, not exports.

Free inventory and 3-post preview. One payment per site when you download.

What the feed actually contains

Only the 20 most recent posts. There's no paging parameter to fetch older ones.

Since 2025 it carries links to the posts rather than their full text. Earlier versions included ~500-character plain-text excerpts.

No images inside posts, no categories or tags, no SEO titles or descriptions.

What works instead

Under ~30 posts: copy and paste, and download each image so it survives cancelling Wix.

If your posts live in a CMS collection you built yourself, the CMS CSV export gets the text out (images as Wix URLs).

For a real Wix Blog: Decamp reads the full posts from your published site and produces WordPress, Ghost, Webflow/Framer, Markdown and HTML files, with every image and 301 redirects. The inventory and preview are free.

Redirect files included: All common hosts. Old links and Google results keep working.

Questions

Can I change the number of posts in the Wix feed?
No. Wix doesn't offer a setting for the feed length.

Does the WordPress RSS importer download images?
No. It only imports what's in the feed, and images inside posts stay pointed at Wix's servers.
