Guide · Webflow export

Get your content out of Webflow

Webflow gives you two ways out and each leaves a gap. The CMS collection exports as a CSV (Blog Posts in the CMS tab → Export), but static pages aren't in it and the images stay as links to Webflow's CDN. The full code export (HTML, CSS, JS and media) is only available on Workspace plans, and it has no CMS items. People have asked for an export to WordPress since 2017 (Webflow Wishlist, 71 votes).

Decamp reads your published Webflow site: every CMS item from your blog collection with its text, headings, links and image files, your regular pages, the SEO title and description of each, and a redirect map for the old URLs. It's one ZIP, with a WordPress import file, a Ghost package, Markdown and HTML.

Free inventory and 3-post preview. One payment per site when you download.

1. Export with Decamp

Paste your Webflow address (your own domain or name.webflow.io). The free inventory reads your sitemap and counts blog posts, pages and other CMS collections (those are listed, not exported as posts).

Prove the site is yours: in the Designer, add a Text Block with the short code Decamp shows to your home page and publish. Delete it after the check.

Look at the free preview, pay once and download the ZIP. Keep the Webflow site published until you've imported: Decamp reads the live site, and the images come from Webflow's CDN.

2. Import on the new platform

WordPress: Tools → Import → WordPress, upload the file from the wordpress/ folder and tick “Download and import file attachments”. The images land in your media library, so nothing points at Webflow afterwards.

Ghost, Markdown and static sites have their own folders and steps in README.md.

3. Keep your links working

Webflow keeps its 301 redirects in Site settings → Publishing and no export includes them. Decamp's redirects/ folder maps each old URL to the new one (WordPress Redirection plugin, Netlify, Cloudflare, Apache, Nginx) and the free redirect checker confirms they work.

Redirect files included: WordPress Redirection plugin · Netlify / Cloudflare · Apache / Nginx. Old links and Google results keep working, and our free redirect checker confirms every one after the move.

Questions

What doesn't come across?
The design and interactions, forms, custom code embeds, Webflow Ecommerce products, memberships, and CMS reference fields such as categories (the post text and images are exported; re-tag them on the new site).

Where do the post dates come from?
From the date shown on each post (structured data, a time tag or a date text element). If a template shows no date, the date Webflow last published the item is used and the post is flagged in the report.

I have several CMS collections.
Collections named like a blog (blog, posts, articles, news, journal…) are exported as posts. Others are counted in the inventory so you know they exist.

Is my site private or on a staging address only?
Decamp needs the site published, with the sitemap on (Site settings → SEO → Auto-generate sitemap). A name.webflow.io address works.
